About

Alba Hostel

Alba Hostel sits on Krakovska 19 in Prague, a historic building that pairs its old-school character with an unabashedly social program: live performances, karaoke, and an in-house nightclub. It’s an adults-only property, so the vibe leans toward guests who want to be in the thick of the city’s nightlife, not a quiet family retreat.

The location puts you within an easy walk of Staroměstské náměstí (Old Town Square) and about 20 minutes from the Spanish Synagogue. Practical touches like luggage storage, 24-hour security, and express check-in make it easy to drop bags and get out. Rooms are straightforward — from singles to mixed dorms — with air conditioning and heating throughout.

In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Top-rated comfort and facilities — Guests rate comfort at 8.7 and facilities at 8.0 — well above the property’s overall score, suggesting a solid night’s sleep and good on-site amenities.
  • Entertainment on tap — Live performances, karaoke, and a nightclub are all right here — you don’t have to go far for a night out.
  • Central Old Town location — A short stroll from Staroměstské náměstí and about a 20-minute walk to the Spanish Synagogue, you’re well-placed for sightseeing.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Dining scores are weak — The property’s dining rating sits at 4.7 — the lowest category — so on-site food and drink options may disappoint. Plan for meals elsewhere.
  • Evening-only check-in window — Check-in runs from 15:00 to 22:30, and you’ll need to be out by 11:00 — not ideal for late arrivals or lie-ins.
  • Not for families or pet owners — The hostel is strictly adults-only, and pets are not allowed — a clear ceiling on who can stay.
